PG Program in Cheminformatics

Course Objectives:

The programme aims to create a workforce, with a sound knowledge in Chemistry and computer technology with applications in the upcoming areas of drug design and development.

Course Duration:
  • Minimum One Year.

  • Maximum Two Year.

Medium of Instruction: English.

Eligibility: A candidate seeking admission to the above programme must have passed B.Sc. or equivalent examination with Chemistry as one of the subjects from a recognized institution. No age bar.

Course Structure:

There would be following Eight papers each of 100 marks including 20 marks for internal assessment:

  • Basics of Chemo-Informatics.

  • Medical Chemistry-Receptor Ligand Interaction.

  • Modern Combinatorial Chemistry.

  • Chemo-Informatics Database Design and their Management.

  • Chemical Information Sources.

  • Computational Chemistry.

  • Data Sequencing, Mining and Visualization.

  • Drug Design and Discovery.

Admission Procedure:
  • Submission of Application.

  • Enclosures.

Program Fee:

Course Fee Rs. 14,000 (payable at the time of admission)
Examination fee Rs. 2,000/-
Identity Card Fee Rs. 100/-

Note: All fees shall be paid by the students through bank Demand Draft only, in favor of"Jamia Hamdard" , and payable at "New Delhi".
